Be prepared for a long series of ancient steps at the beginning and end of the trail. However, the views from the top are worth it.

Take plenty of water and a picnic lunch. And make sure you're prepared for a several hour hike.

Opted for this instead of Path of the Gods as it was shorter and you could return to the start point easy enough and because we thought Path of Gods would be teeming with tourists.

Now I dont know how Path of the Gods is but I can say we were not disappointed by the incredible views from the top. Want to do this again and go further to the big summit next time.

Wonderful trek. Easy well signposted route. Hard climb up as up and up but rewards by fantastic views down coast. Then second half of trek just view upon view.

We hiked the path Monte Tre Calli starting from Bomerano and chose the right side of the path on the crosspoint. It was more steeper this way than from the other possible way (the path is circular route). From a top of the mountain you could see the whole Amalfi coast. We had hiked the Path of Gods too and we thought that there was more to see than on this path. But if you want to see as little other people during hiking choose Monte Tre Calli path.
It took almost 4 hours to hike this path with several drinking, breathing and eating stops :)
Wear ordinary hiking shoes and enjoy!

This place offers the most complete and amazing views of the entire peninsula. It’s rough to get there by foot but there is also a road that gets you up to a viewing platform by car. Either way the views are the very best anywhere around.

We did this hike in June of 2018 and we absolutely loved it! We didn’t plan to go all the way to the top of Monte Catello, but we could not help it. The views are simply amazing! Mountain tops in the clouds, sparkling water below, very few people. Visibility was great and we could see the entire Sorrento peninsula and Capri in the distance. At the top of Monte Catello, we could see Naples, the bay and Vesuvius. On the way up in the morning, as we climbed on the ridge, the trail was swarming with flies. They are not the kind that bites, but they were annoying. They completely disappeared later in the day as we were heading back. We hiked this trail with our girls, 9 and 14, so it was a slow go, but they enjoyed it too (apart form complaining about flies). I wish we could explore this trail longer, but we needed to hike all the way to Positano to catch a bus/train back to our hotel in Naples.

If you are in pretty good shape, and wearing real trail shoes, this is a nice hike up from Bomerano with wonderful views at the end. We do this once a year and have never seen more than 2 other people at the top, and we usually have it all to ourselves. Our favorite scenic picnic place, but carry out all your trash with you.

My expectation was that the Path of the Gods would be the highlight or our week of Nordic walking/Urban Poling the Amalfi Coast. But for me, it was definitely the hike up Monte Tre Calli, which took us high about the Path of the Gods with the most spectacular views! One of my most favourite hikes ever. A big shout out to Exodus Travels and our incredible guide, Martina, for bringing us here!

Our hotel owner suggested we do the walk to Nocelle, take a bus to Positano (to avoid the 1,500 steps!), the high speed boat to Amalfi and then the bus back to Bomerano. It was a fantastic day with plenty of fabulous views! While waiting for the first bus we had a tasty lemon slushy, the vendor was helpful with the us schedule and sold the tickets. All in all easy to follow with many helpful people around.

This was an awesome experience, one to remember for years to come.

My wife threatened to turn around and return to the hotel three times during the uphill portion, my daughter ranted endlessly, but we prevailed and everybody agreed it was well worth it once we got to the top, where we got to see the Western half of the Amalfi coast, all the way to Capri in the distance. Seeing Agerola shrinking away as we ascended was a great sight as well.

The trail begins with a 500 meter climb over about 1.5-2 km distance so not an easy hike, but not very hard either if you are in moderate to fair shape. We had the good fortune to have perfect weather, and we did not meet a living soul (bar cows, lizards, butterflies, birds) after exiting Agerola. Allow 4-5 hours for the circuit (we had to turn around at the peak and head back to Agerola to avoid darkness).

Be sure to install the free Agerola Experience app that shows your location relative to the path and alerts if you deviate.
Protect yourself from the sun, much of the trail is exposed.
Bring water and snacks/sandwiches.
Hiking shoes/boots are required.
