Suddenly the museum closed on or around the 12th June. It has been alleged there is some form of family dispute going on. Check the latest position before you go. Even if it is closed, you can still enjoy the other archeological museum on the...More

It is mainly about family that lived there in 1904 rather than when it was built, which is fine if you know that going in. I approached to visit the "castle" with 1600's in mind. As you go through the couple small rooms and read...More

Didn't actually go into the museum but did attend one of the Domus Festival concerts. The fantastic bazouki player and guitarist played and sang for 2 hours without a break. So professional! And the 4 dancers who came out intermittently were terrific, as well! Starts...More

This museum give you a laminated sheet to walk through the house to see various things. My wife thought it was much more interesting then me. The best part of the museum was looking outside at the views of Naxos town and the waterfront.

We didn't actually view the museum but did purchase tickets to one of the performances in the Cultural Festival the museum organizes and hosts. We saw Nikos Giolias perform. We were outside in a protected corner with the castle as the backdrop behind Nikos. Stunning...More

Very interesting collection of exhibits in a beautiful setting. Glorious views from the windows. Go before it gets too hot in the day as it is a bit of a climb.

The Venetian is resplendent with household furniture and costumes from an elegant past. Fantastic views from the windows overlooking the port. A must see in Nazos

What an amazing experience. Formerly the guard house next to the entrance gate into the castle built in 1207. It was remodelled in 1904 as a magnificent home. Walk back in time to see the original furniture and be stunned by the magnificent views onto...More
