This museum is on Fort Eustis where US Army Personnel are trained as Transportation specialists. Because of this fact, all visitors have to go through a vehicle inspection which involves open every orifice of your car for them to see. The MPs were not very...More

Visit the US Army's largest transportation center and the museum. If you are a patriot you will get goosebumps as you retrace the steps of so many American heroes over so many wars.

This is my favorite of all of the base museums I’ve visited because it’s chronologically organized and allows guests to observe the evolution of war and how technology and tactical environments change over time. There’s a really nice gift shop. Free parking. Free admission.

I went bowling then I went to the museum. What an awesome trip! The museum included various planes and were very historic in relation to time eras. I’ve been several times and I still enjoy seeing the different forms of transportation.

I thought it was pretty cool. Went on a business trip and happened to drive by it so stopped in. Layout was great, and the artifacts were legit.

I was amazed to see all the Techno advancement s from the past 40's-60's, even some of those prototypes were used as inspiration for the star wars movie. Amazing! I enjoyed viewing all the heavy transportation equipment.

We were originally going to go to a demolition derby but were rained out. Being retired military I was curious about the Army museum of transportation. I'm thinking a bunch of trucks? Man was I wrong! There is a large building with dioramas from the...More

Free. We planned on an hour or two, and ended up spending over 4 hours - there is THAT much to see, and well worth it.
