I was very involved is the restoration and it was a project that the City was very excited about. there are civil was re enactment's there for history buffs and the children Love the live action

My date took me to the Plantation for a WWII Re-inactment. It was really neat to see all of the military regalia, the soldiers, everything down to the cigarettes and rations were authentic.

Well worth the visit. Beautiful house. Terrific docent. Also, the nature walk was VERY interesting. The house is lovingly restored. Really gives you a feel for the period.
