- GyomAlthen-des-Paluds, France34 contributionsVery niceWe learn much more than we might think! Small, friendly park where you can meet myocastors (yes, you wouldn't call them coypus after the visit), but also wallabies. Very good for children because we enter the parks where we can pet the animals and give them food. As a bonus, a very well animated little show, which will delight the little ones and which remains nice for the older ones. Park open from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., allow 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes. Slightly high price: €15 adultsVisited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 April 2024
- Typh & Co 🌸Brest, France50 contributionsOriginality and cutenessLovely discovery, very original and full of cuteness! We found this activity by chance on the internet and we were not disappointed! The keepers are passionate and explain the lifestyle of myocastors (coypus). We were able to enter the enclosures to feed them and pet them. We were also able to enter the wallaby enclosure! The end show was also a real success! Bravo to the parks for highlighting animals that are often little appreciated!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 May 2024
- FloClermont-Ferrand, France63 contributionsFor young children it’s great.A beautiful little park that kept our little one occupied for an hour and a half. The approach is nice, the animation of the staff rather refreshing and amusing. And the opportunity to see little wonders up close is not always given.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 13 May 2024
- L'HERMETTE R6 contributionsAn atypical animal park!!A fun park for children and adults. An extraordinary approach to animals. Lords/facilitators are available, attentive and responsive to the public. I highly recommend with family or even between adults. Great time. Shaded park. Watch out for mosquitoes!!Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 June 2024
- julie10 contributionsRatatouille and GisèleWe had a great time with family. This park is unusual, it has a fun and fun approach. The tour is well done, with caregivers taking little care with visitors as well as animals. This proximity to animals is incredible and explanations at the top. Count 1h30, for the visit and the show. Thank you to the whole team for this moment.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 22 July 2024
- Hannah WColeshill, United Kingdom33 contributionsYou have to go here if you love animals! What a fantastic place to visit! Children ages 5, 3 and 1 and they all loved it. For what you get to experience for the price of ticket is incredible. Staff go above and beyond and make sure everyone is getting the most out of their visit. I can't see how anyone could give this place a bad review. Brilliant from start to finish and a perfect family day out that doesn't need all day to do.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 26 July 2024
- Christel110784Grâce-Hollogne, Belgium19 contributionsOwl small animal parkSmall animal park but very nice to do with small children. The spectacle of mice is to be done absolutely, everyone laughed. The staff seem very involved in the well-being of their little protégés and give a lot of information throughout the visit. I recommend ++Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 July 2024
- Pauline M1 contributionIdeal for children!Ideal with young children Great family outing with my 2 and 6 year old daughters. Being able to feed the animals was a great experience for them. I admit I was surprised to see that it was ragondin and not beaver but why not? As long as my daughters are happy, that's fine with me! Our visit lasted 1h30 and was great when we drove an hour by bike and had small children. Only small point of improvement (but it's like that in bcp place, a table has languished would be really nice 👍🙂) I recommendVisited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 August 2024
- nadedjou24Nontron, France169 contributionsYou had to think about it.Superb discovery, congratulations to those who designed it because touching animals that have a bad reputation restores meaning. Thank you for the laughter given by the show host, everything is explained with humor and this is what we need. My 3-year-old son had only one word in his mouth: GREAT. Immersion is very educational to teach children calm, tenderness and respect. Go on like thisVisited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 8 August 2024
- Alicia S7 contributionsSmall animal park , but very well arranged. We were at the Myocastor animal park it was a beautiful visit already we are taken care of by caretakers who explain everything about animals we can even pet them, gave them food my children loved. And to be able to stroke the walibis was a very nice experience. We attended the rat show the children loved but just a little cramped because there was not enough room for everyone. And the more the pancakes come out of the park. I will come back and recommend it.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 August 2024

A great little animal park that teaches us to know with pedagogy and humor these little unloved animals called pests like myocastors (commonly called ragondins). There are also Walibis. It’s very nice to be able to be immersed with them in the enclosures, respecting their territory (we are the ones who stay behind barriers and they are the ones who come if they want to). The animators are very friendly and manage to interest even the smallest. To top it all off, a very well conducted little show with a lot of humor features rats. Success assured with children (congratulations to the facilitator who does not lack humor). Really an outing that I recommend, yet I hate animal parks, zoos and others but here pedagogy comes first and animals are approached with respect and kindness.

On vacation with our 2 grandchildren aged 10 and 4 on the Ile d'Oléron, we visited the Myocastor park in Dolus. It was a very pleasant moment, a little unexpected. First, very interesting and very clear explanations on the Myocastors, then a participatory and very nice session of feeding the Myocastors, followed by a tour commented by a rather sublime character of the Wallabies enclosure and finally, as in a small circus, humorous acts with little rats including the famous Ratatouille. A great time with the children!

If you are looking for a stuffy, chic and stupid park, this is not the right park.
Here it’s friendly and super good spirited. We see myocastors (coypus), we can feed them by hand and caress them supervised by very friendly animators, we walk among the wallabies very simply with a captivating guide full of knowledge, then comes the llama park and finally the highlight of the show is an animal training act with rats! The show is great for both young and old, very nice acts, trainer with perfect verbal skills and good timing of jokes, everything is impeccable. Congratulations again to Giselle 💪
The shop when you go out is very accessible and like the park, small but friendly, and it is surely one of the rare places where you can find coypu stuffed animals 🤣
Don't change anything, you're on top and our daughter loved it!

Brilliant, really cute and funny. The beavers, alpacas and kangaroos are really cute. You can go into the beaver enclosure and feed them, which is a great experience, and you can go into the kangaroo enclosure and pet them. We like to come back every year. The spectacle with the rats was really funny, the artist was great. Unfortunately everything was only in French, but if you asked personally, the answer was in English. All in all, 5 stars, you can't stop smiling. A great afternoon, we'd love to go again! A l année prochaine!

Good but ...
Already fortunately we arrived at 2 p.m. because in fact there is a route to follow with the animators so at 2:30 p.m. we would have missed half
Approaches to cool animals for children
Coherent and interesting explanations
Best host that of the passionate Wallibis, funny and cheerful (unlike the others who wonder why they do that...) thanks to him!
Fun original show for children
Expensive entries for content
But a little moment of relaxation

I would have given 5 stars because the park is nice, clean, very friendly staff... the immersion with animals is very educational... very nice show too!
However I was septic that we eat wild meat because the animator certifies us that ragondin meat comes from trapped wild animals...knowing the importance of French standards...on leaving the visit I go to study the question. And the owner of this site Éric Bruneteau owns the cannery producing pâté de ragondins and a slaughterhouse:
Bruneteau Eric is a slaughterhouse located Ld Saint Hilaire 17780 Soubise with approval number 17.429.003 in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 853/2004. It is registered with number SIRET 41246193100013. Bruneteau Eric specializes in domestic lagomorphs and small furry farmed game in the Charente Maritime department (Poitou Charentes region
So everyone makes their conclusion...

Small family park, do not expect to see many animals and make your solo visit. Grouped in small groups you can observe and feed the ragondins, the same for the wallabys and then... that’s all. The show is fun and appreciated by the children and congratulations to therenimator for that. But in any case, once it is done, it is done. A little disappointed.

Very friendly park with adorable and funny keepers. Everything is done to have a good time sharing knowledge and discovering different species. Our son loved giving carrots to the myocastors and seeing the very funny rat show. Thank you for this good time!

We expected to see things other than coypu..
Well, apart from the very long explanations and the fact of giving carrots to the coypu and the wallabies, I didn't find it great. The park is small. In less than an hour we were already back at the car. Apart from the rat spectacle I was left wanting more..

Lovely to visit for 1-2 hours. Car park was full when we arrived but managed to find a spot on the verge outside. The tour is guided and in French but the man was very helpful and spoke a little English to us. We were given a laminated sheet in English to help us. There are 2 main areas with the coypus in and there is a short talk at each. There is a chance for children to hold a young
coypu and be photographed by their family. At the end everyone
was able to feed the coypus carrots which was lovely. They were very tame and could be stroked at this point. I most enjoyed watching them swimming and interacting with each other. The coypus seemed happy and well cared for. In the small gift shop some toiletries were on sale and also some plaster paw prints and fur talisman,
we settled on a paw cast to be on the safe side! Some toy fake fur toys would have sold well and also drinks and ice creams. I didn't notice any hand gel etc but may have missed
It. All in all a very pleasant unique afternoon for us.
