This museum is round the corner from the Musee du debarquement on the seafront. It may be small but there is certainly a lot packed into it. What makes it so unique is the items on display have mainly be given by veterans of WW2...More

This is not your usual museum. It is kept by a passionate gent from Holland who informed us that the majority of the contents have been donated by veterans which gives a personal touch. Its quite small but worth a 20 minute visit.

I apparently hadn't done my homework ahead of time because I just happened upon this place while walking around town and decided to drop in. Lots of very cool, small pieces that really humanize (for me, at least) WW2.

If you only have one day at Arromanches this museum is not as good as the one with a movie and museum .

This is an excellent little museum made of personal items and stories. Well worth a visit and refreshingly different from the many 'professionally' constructed museums in this area.

This is a beautiful collection of items curated with love, respect and care. Everything in the collection tells a personal story and particularly moving are the "then and now" photographs of the donors which accompany the exhibits. Hans is a fountain of knowledge and gave...More
