Another interesting stop in this historic area. Well maintained. Informative. And a great view of Golden Beach and the bay.

The unsung heroes, who designed and built the artificial harbour with out which the Battle of Normandy would have been lost. A simple poignant reminder.

Nothing more is needed to commemorate the engineers who built the artificial harbours. Yes 2 not one... but the other one was destroyed by a heavy storm after a few days. Like other British war monument kept in impeccable state.

I find it very interesting because it gives me more info about who really organise the attack: the sappers, technical engineers. Thank to them!

This memorial reminds us of all of the work, planning and ingenuity that went into planning and production of the D-Day invasion. These men did something no on even thought possible. They had to truly "think outside the box" to accomplish this amazing feat. Stop...More

It's worth taking a short drive down the road to see this one. A beautiful view of the harbor remnants, and some cool stuff to look at.
