The MUSEUM AT THE YSER is a museum with a message. This message is PEACE, FREEDOM AND TOLERANCE and the idea that violence never brings peace. You can visit the Museum at the Yser on your own, or you can do so with a guide/tower watchman. Entrance Fees Per person € 8,00 Group (min. 20 pers.) € 6,00 Handicapped person € 4,00 CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE Younger than 7 free 7-17 j. (indiv. and groups) € 2,50 he Museum at the Yser (the Yser Tower) is open daily January - February - March - October - November - December: from 9.00 to 17.00 (Sat., Sun-. and Bank Holidays: from 10.00 to 17.00) April - May - June - July - August - September: from 9.00 to 18.00 (Sat., Sun. and Bank Holidays: from 10.00 to 18.00) Closed on 24/25/26/31 December , on 01/02 January + 3 weeks after the Christmas holidays. The domain is accessible up to 1 hour before closing time. Dogs are not allowed (except guide dogs).

A huge museum full if interesting displays and details about the war in this area. The displays are carefully thought out and vividly show how this area was affected by war. It's an intriguing and thought-provoking few hours visit.

There was a lift which takes you to the very top and then we used the stairs down taking in each exhibit on each floor. I think the lift could stop at each floor which held an exhibit but it wasn't something I noticed... More
