I briefly rested here during my walk around Granada. Taking photos of my surroundings, I noted the cathedral near by, statues, vendors selling their wares, horses and their carriages, colonial buildings, Christmas decorations, etc. I enjoyed my rest here.

This is definitely one of the cutest and prettiest little Park located in a city center of a central American country that I've visited. There are vendors everywhere, and the horse carriage tour is a must!

This park is nicely adorned with plenty of seating and shade to get out of the heat. The park overlooks the beautiful Catedral de Granada and is also surrounded by pretty Spanish colonial style buildings. There are a number of eateries in the park where you can try the local dish, 'vigoron", as well as street stalls that sell other bits and pieces. You can get horse and carriage rides here as well and there are a lot of vendors selling tours to nearby attractions. A must visit when in Grenada.

Nice little Central Park filled with lots of vendors. Horse and carriage rides available. Few little kiosks to buy food. Incredible architecture all around

It’s pleasant to sit down in the heat and rest a bit.
Cathedral, shops, caffeteria, souvenirs and horse riders are all there. Market is just round the corner.

The buildings are beautiful. Too bad we couldn't hear the guide due to the vendors constantly pestering the tourists to buy whistles, pottery, cashews, whatever. Then some started blowing the whistles - more noise.
Then there were the children who approached us and others blatantly asking for money. For parents to allow/encourage children to beg for money is simply not acceptable in my book. What values and what life skills are they teaching them? I feel the city should forbid begging (especially by children) if they want to encourage people to come as tourists and spend money in their city/country. They need to take a hint from Jamaica. Cruise passengers frequently complained about the aggressive vendors years ago. Several years later fewer cruise ships were going to Jamaica and had substituted other ports.
As for me, I couldn't get any peace to try to enjoy the square, so all I wanted to do was leave as soon as possible. It was a waste of my time.

This park / plaza is buzzing with activity in the centre of town. Nice pace to wander and relax. You can get a great view from the cathedral next door

There are so many hustlers here you may not notice that you're in a pretty place. Once you decide to buy something they will swarm you and want to leave immediately.
