Loved the architecture, the people, Lake Nicaragua and the food. I’ve been there before and hope to return. So nice to get away from the mainstream hotels and restaurants you tend to find at most touristy destinations.

Facing the Catedral, this parque has a lot to offer: Statues, Gazebo, fountain, vendors selling clothings, souvenirs, etc. Along its side, are carriages lined up, waiting for tourists to come and take their rides/tours..

I took a lot of photos here. Enjoy your visit!

This gorgeous central plaza is possibly the most picturesque in Central America.

Featuring colonial architecture its most famous feature is the stunning Granada Cathedral (Immaculate Conception of Mary Cathedral Church). This alone makes it worth the visit.

Unfortunately being the epicentre of a tourist focused town this park also features a lot of tour providers hawking their tours so it isn’t a relaxing place to linger as you are constantly being approached by salemen. I would also advise against coming here at night as I did note a man getting a BJ from a lady of the night at 9pm at night while walking past.

This is definitely one of favorite places in all of Nicaragua! This quaint town center is absolutely beautiful, with so much charm and character. The main Cathedral just makes this place even prettier!

We had some time to stroll around town, and this is clearly the central point. Probably because of COVID it wan't too active, but it's a good place to see and buy local trinkets and try some local foods or drinks from several of the kiosks (if you haven't filled up on food in one of the restaurants.). Clean, safe, no one was pushy or bothersome.

The Central Parque or "central park" is a well-known attraction in Granada, Nicaragua.

The Central Parque has an assortment of stands, vendors, benches, and horseback rides. You can grab some little trinkets as well as a bite to eat here.

There are many different people selling horse carriage tours of the city. A recommendation, don't just go with the first person you see. In Nicaragua, it's fine to barter. They will sell you their highest price, so don't be ashamed to go down and ask for a lower price. For 3 people, we did an hour tour around the city in the horse carriage for $10. Yes $10 U. S. dollars. That's literally only a little over $3 a person. I think that's an awesome deal.

There are also people selling tours such as the Islets tour in the Central Parque as well. Be polite and friendly and you'll see that it is fairly cheap. We met a young man who spoke excellent English. He referred us to a tour company. We got to go on the Islets of Granada tour for $35 total, including round trip transportation.

Situated across from the Cathedral the Central Parque is an attractive square with trees and benches plus a central fountain and bandstand. Great for sitting and people watching.

Great to stroll in in the day but at night not so much. Beside the main attractions and great restaurants, pretty much all streets lead to this park.
