Free stay for devotees
Nov 2020
Gita Bhawan is situated on east bank of holy river Ganga and is 5 minutes walking distance from Ram Jhula. We had a holy bath in crystal clear water of river Ganga at Gita Bhawan Ghat. It is always safe to bath on ghats instead of raw river banks. After that we visited the main complex of Gita Bhawan, saw the temple there. We visited the Gita Press books shop where large collection of Hindu religious books in different Indian and English language can be purchased at very reasonable prices. As told by our tour guide, Gita Bhawan has several discourse halls and over 1000 rooms for the comfortable stay of devotees free of cost. Gita Bhawan offers pure vegetarian food to devotees at very low cost. Photography is not allowed inside the Gita Bhawan. One can see the "Ram Naam Stambh" temple build by Gita Bhawan management. There are 31,000 million Ram Naam chanted and written in booklets by devotees from all parts of the world in the foundation and walls of the Stambh.

Good peaceful place
Oct 2019
Between Ram jhula and Parmarth Aashram, you have Gita Bhawan, a temple premises with a beautiful and peaceful temple. There is a garden and aashram here. while visiting the place, we took our dinner here. The food served here is simple and hygienic. The charges are nominal and its served only at fixed times.
There is also a Gita Bhawan premises near Ram Jhula where Puri Bhaji, kachori and sweets are sold.

Calm and peaceful environment
Jun 2019 • Family
This is the place which is still not commercialized and still hold the environment which is calm and peaceful. Once you are inside the Geeta bhawan you get feelings of spiritual satisfaction.
Geeta Bhawan ghats are also neat and clean. Separate place for men and women.
Geetapress shops just outside have good quality of handloom products and range of spiritual books.

Busy place, but a good visit
May 2019 • Family
We just tried the ganga ferry from one side to the other. And it takes you almost directly into the Gita Bhavan. Its a typical dharmashala cum temple. A nice garden outside, and there are some beautiful trees there which bear a huge white colored flower, which looks like magnolia. I had never seen such a flower before. It has this magical fragrance too. And there is a handloom store outside where you can pick some gifts for your friends back home. The service in the store isnt great. But its a large store. Drop in if you have time (there are some guys on the other side of the river who keep offering a guided tour. not sure how that goes. didnt try it. but if there are so many guides talking about this place, then there ought to be some stories attached to it too)

Quiet temple. You can sit here peacefully and recite the Gita or just meditate. Very very clean and well maintained. Presence of monkeys though..

Good Clean facility
May 2019 • Family
Situated near the Ram Jhula, it is preferred by devotees visiting the Ganga river banks. The rooms are very clean and neat, it has good facilities and also areas for meditation, satsang and cafeteria.
One has to book for long stays - (min is 7 days), but one can stay for 15days, 1 month or more
