So for someone who has traveled extensively in India, Lakshman jhula might dissappoint but it is still definitely worth visiting. The main problem is that most of the shops here (and they are plentiful) truly sell really cheap stuff. With some exceptions, the clothes and garments are really, really cheaply made. From shop to shop, they all seem to sell... More

Just don't opt for any guide as there is nothing historic that only a guide can tell u. Chotiwalla restaurant was very gud. Cheese pizza can be a must try here

Lovely bridge accross the Ganges. What was ment for walking is now used by two wheelers !!!what a shame. People get knocked by these motorbikes. Now cows ,monkeys and monkeys on bikes compete with humans....a disaster awaiting to happen

The bridge is a very good attraction , the walk over Ganga river is very enjoyable . Please try to take a guide , who can show you many temples situated around this area , including Lakshman temple , Shiva temple and a lot of ashrams , and explain their significance .

The Ganges can be seen in its raw beauty from Lakshman jhula. Stroll in the lanes and by lanes and discover lovely cafes and bakery , junk jewellery and reasonably priced spas. It's amazing how it can be peaceful and hip and happening at the same time!

The lakshman jhoola is smaller one of the 2 suspended bridges. Ram jhoola and Lakshman jhoola. Its nice n full of tourists. The mandir on the other side is very popular and there is also a german bakery serving delightful meals.

While in Rishikesh, this is a must! The bridge crosses over the emerald green Ganga River where you can watch children bathing, people doing their pujas (rituals) while placing flower offerings on the water, rafts drifting down the river rapids... And of course, be prepared to share the bridge with awesome monkeys, cows, motorcycles and lots of tourists :) All... More

Just spending a few minutes standing on the bridge, listening to the natural sounds of river flowing, wind, etc will get you energized!
