Had a 10:20 tour. There was a long line for 10:20, 10:30, etc. No organization. Employees rude. The house is interesting. Also a museum, slave cabins, garden, etc. Long walk from the parking lot.

You can go by Metro - rail, then bus. The directions are on the Mount Vernon website. Or you can do the cruise option, but they book up quickly. The cruise option includes the cost if your admission and gives you a set time... More
