Learned so much about early life on the Eastern Shore. A very hardy people, who overcame the elements to survive. Lots of exhibits of old time implements for harvesting the bounty of the sea.

We stopped here on our way from the Outer Banks to Chincoteague. Very nice musem. Short movie about the lives of people who had once lived on the islands. Lots of informative displays. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This place breathes life into the past. It is not your typical boring museum. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the displays are well designed and interesting. Can't wait to bring the grandchildren here as they will love it!
