The grave of Stonewall Jackson and his family are in this cemetry but it also includes many graves of the civil war era, a very interesting place to wander around

Aside from Stonwall JAckson and his family, there are numerous people from his time there. Lots of military. It's a square, symmetrical place with trees and homes surrounding it. It is a nice walk from town and peaceful to be there. RIP everyone there.:)

The grave sits atop a knoll in the cementary. There is a very nice statue there. There were roses and lemons (a Jackson favorite) at the grave. Not a *must see*. However, if you're in town it is an easy, quick stop.

Beautiful setting just on the outskirts, walking distance from center of town. Plenty of history in this small cemetery. Take some time 30 to 40 minutes and read many of the headstones. Visit with Stonewall Jackson for a while.

Lexington is a nice town to stroll around in, including the Jackson Cemetary, but I wouldn't do it in unpleasant weather

Definitely worth seeing if you have the chance to go to Lexington and enjoy the day strolling around town. This is a beautiful historic site and is always nicely maintained.

After touring the house, this is a must see. We went there after church on Sunday with our Cadet. I highly recommend reading the book, "Rebel Yell" by S. C. Gwynne before touting the house or visiting the grave. It gave this New Hampshire Yankee...More

Center piece is the Jackson graves. This is a must see a lot of confederate graves. It is a very well kept Cemetery. We sent a few hours just walking around looking at all the different stones and tombs. Very nice place to go and...More

Stonewall Jackson had a penchant for eating lemons, hence the lemons on his grave! I recommend visiting the site before politically correct people insist on the statue being taken down.
