A great place to visit if you are anywhere near Leesburg, VA. The guides on the Davis Mansion tour are great! And the house will take you back in time in such a wonderful way. A lot of charm and splendor... a great way to "see" history. Take time to see the Winmill Carriage Museum, and the rest of the... More

found the history of the home and its architecture interesting. The guide kept you engaged and showed pride in the information she was presenting. It was chilly the day I went so I didn't spend as much time on the grounds as I wanted. Hope to go back and explore more. Unplanned stop, when I arrived the tour had just... More

This is a beautiful park in an absolutely breath-taking location. We missed the house tour by just a few minutes, but will be back for that. This is a peaceful place not too far from the bustling nation's capitol!

The park is gorgeous! The grounds are well kept and immaculate. The hiking trails were gorgeous and the buildings well maintained. The Mansion tour was HOT, way too hot....maybe turn down the heat just a tad!

This is a well managed equine park. Different types of horses and horse shows are enjoyed. They are well managed and well thought out. Efforts are made to make sure we enjoy ourselves. The equine park is managed by a real horsewoman, Laura Doyle. The facility is growing to accommodate International competitions. The Only negative is that for Some events,... More

The views from this house are great. It is basically three museums in one. You have the house, a horseman's museum and carriage museum. All are very nice. The property could use a little upkeep and would be nice if the tour guides wore period attire, but the place is worth visiting.

Morvan Park is theformer home of Virginia Govenor Westmoreland. The mansion itself is both beautiful and historic. Worth seeing on its own. But the property itself is breathtaking! Owned and managed by a private foundation, the Park is the venue for equestrian events, soccertournements, antiques shows, etc. The Best Buddies Race sponsored by Audi ends here every year. Not to... We went as a family to visit the estate and were very happy that they refused to take our entrance fee as we were part of the military, andt gave us a tour guide to fill in all the gaps. The house was Governor Westmorelands summer home, it almost shares the same story as many of the great estates in Europe... More

You can have your wedding there, receptions, cocktail parties and more. They host a plethora of events from horseback riding events to soccer tournaments. Beautiful place and the museum and carriage house are... More
