We were in the area headed to a different vineyard that we've been to before when we decided to try this place instead. It was certainly worth the stop! They have an interesting collection of wines on their menu you don't often see in Virginia. Most notably was their Solera. It's made in an old Spanish style, if I'm remember... More

We met up with another couple who had the same experience with a different wine pourer...of all the wineries we went to, felt it was quite unfriendly. we had a free tasting card and the sommelier said, "we've been trying to get rid of these for years" and was reluctant to honor it, even though there were no expiration dates... My family joined this established winery's wine club a little more than a year ago, two memberships. We have tasted each of their offerings and each tastes better than the last.

We have many wineries in our area of California and this winery was one that could easily fit among our great wineries. The atmosphere was relaxing with a great view, the service was phenomenol, the staff KNEW what they were talking about when discussing their wines, and it was so nice to be able to sit down with a glass... I have to say Rappahannock Cellars was much better than the previous winery I visited. The staff was willing to let me start a tasting a few minutes before they opened and the wines were nice. I am not a Chardonnay fan but theirs was nice and subtle and their Port was great. I bought a bottle of their Vidal... More

This was one of 3 stops on a mini wine tour my boyfriend and I did during a Sperryville weekend getaway. It is family owned and everyone was very friendly. The wine was good and reasonably priced and the location was cozy. Would return!

Rappahannock Cellars truly has it all. The wine is excellent, with all ingredients sourced directly from their location. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. The location is gorgeous, being tucked right next to a small mountain gave us that rural Virginia feel, with a view. We would highly recommend signing up for their cellar tour and tasting. What better... More

From the day we first visited while wine tasting in the area, to when we joined the club, the staff, many of whom are children of the owner, have treated us like family. Tom and Tessa are especially welcoming and the wine club room is like an airline business lounge but with great table service. They are opening another club... More
