We toured the center, gained lots of maps and ideas for touring the area, and watched a very informative film of the area during the CIvil War and the significance of the valley,

The building is small but has a great variety of displays, dioramas, maps and wonderful staff. Very helpful and friendly. A convenient place to park to explore the downtown area.

The staff member working there was AMAZING - she gave us lots of tips, a map that made it very easy to navigate the city, and tons of information about where we should stop! Definitely the place to start when you come to Harrisonburg.
