Playing here, our customers know they will receive one of the best possible golfing experiences available. This is due to our attentive staff and the systems we have in place to provide excellent customer service at every opportunity. From the Bag drop, to the First Tee, to the maintenance crewmember, to the General Manager, to the grill attendant, the focus of our staff is to serve the customer and help them enjoy our facilities to the fullest, so they will tell their friends and want to return time and time again. Thoroughly renowned for the service we provide, outing coordinators and event planners will constantly seek us out. We will dazzle them with our attentiveness and concern for the success of their events. Coming to our club will be a sensation that their attendees will talk about for years to come. Designed by Tom Clark, Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club opened in March 2007 to rave reviews by Regional and National Golf Publications. Golf Digest Magazine ranked us #6 “Best New Affordable Public Courses” in 2007, and the Washington Post named us a ‘Natural Treasure’. In 2010 and 2011, Blue Ridge Shadows was ranked #4 Best Courses you can Play in Virginia by Golfweek Magazine and ranked #32 ‘Women-friendly courses in America’ by Golf Digest Woman Magazine!

The staff were all very friendly so it was a great start of the day. The overall condition was excellent except for a large number of the bad sand traps. The traps that were good were great the ones that were covered with weeds were horrible. The tees, fairways and greens were in great shape. It is a course we will... More

Nice round of golf at Blue Ridge Shadows with my son.. Good price, 55 mins drive from Fairfax. Cheap gas in the valley. course is in nice shape.. some sand traps are being repaired. Good lay out- 3:45 mins for 18 holes with a Saturday mid morning tee time. Will definitely be returning. Nice meal in town at Spelunker's.

We play this course about every month because we like the scenery and always have fun here. The pulled pork is great and usually comes with homemade potato chips. Just ask Trudy what's cooking and she will make a great sandwich. The place is well decorated and clean.

Recently played this course for the first time even though I live in the area as part of a company tournament...what a great surprise. Great layout, very challenging, very well maintained and a great place for an outing. Overall service was very friendly and accommodating, definitely would recommend and I am considering a membership.

Our group of 4 stopped here on our way to Luray for our annual Fall Golf marathon. They were kind enough to allow us the weekday senior special which included 18 holes with cart and lunch for $39. The course was in really bad shape. I think the bunkers at all but three holes were completely overgrown and totally unplayable.... More

Bluewater, thank you for playing here at Blue Ridge Shadows and thank you for your feedback. As we discussed upon check in, we are in the midst of a renovation project. We are in the midst of redoing all the bunkers, and while I know only a few had been addressed when you played, we have currently completed 9-holes. We... More

This is a great place to play a round or just relax. For those who don't play ,the deck offers stunning views. The grill has great food and the bar is well stocked and not overly priced.

My husband and I travel to this area once a year from Pennsylvania and purchase a stay and play package each time. We have never been disappointed. We were told up front that the bunkers were under repair which we appreciated. The greens and the fairways were spot on. We will continue to make this trip each year and quite... More

I used to love playing Blue Ridge Shadows and would play it a couple times a year, usually on special occasions or when I had friends visiting. I haven't played in about 2 years and was SHOCKED at how much the conditions have deteriorated! The tee boxes were burnt, the fairways were infested with clover, and the bunkers were awful!... More

I have heard and read good things about this course. That information must've been old. We were not informed upon making our tee time that the sandtrap's were not being kept up. There was a sign in the clubhouse when we got there that apologized and said that the sandtrap's were under construction. Well, nobody was working on them at... More

I loved the layout, massive elevation changes. It was worth the 3 1/2 hour trip to go there. The only bad thing was some debris on the golf course from a storm that had passed through the area. Otherwise, it was a great time and would definitely go back. Bob Ozabal Chesapeake, Va.
