This was a quiet unassuming museum with many interesting exhibits of a bygone era. This building was once a school but converted in 60's. Do not miss this gem if in Fairfax. Could be easily missed.

I've lived in the area for many years and always had this museum on my list. I was not disappointed. Good amount of local history. Knowledgeable staff. All who live here should go.

Very few artifacts. Evidence that this part of the Confederacy suffered heavy damage. I have visited private homes with more historical items. The ADA compliant elevator was its best feature.

This little quiet unassuming museum is quite informative about the local history. It won't take very long to go through the whole museum but it's worth a visit...and it's free! :-).

Nice little museum. It is free to the public. A lot of photographs from old days about old town Fairfax area and some historical artifacts. My nephew who was visiting from out of town really enjoyed it.
