This winery is beautifully situated in valley which sadly means there is no cell service. We appeared to be the first tasters of the day and our server didn't seem overly pleased to have someone there (she didn't smile or seem vaguely like she enjoyed...More

Stopped by while staying in the area. It was a Wednesday afternoon and we were the only people tasting. Tom was wonderful and we chatted about local wine. I left with 2 bottles. Looking to my return visit to purchase some bottles on Norton.

We came to DuCard on a rainy day and ended up with the tasting bar all to ourselves! It was a perfect day to be there and the wine was great! Out of the 6 vineyards we visited, this was my husband's favorite.

DuCard is probably one of the smaller vineyards around but that doesn't mean that it isn't worth visiting. We had been visiting many of the vineyards on the Monticello trail and now we are branching out to other nearby areas. The first thing you notice...More

Although it's a bit off the beaten path it's worth 🚗 the extra mile. Serene mountain views in a peaceful setting. Wines are a variety of generally dry whites and dry reds. Their "Shenandoah" was excellent. The tasting fee is $8 per person and their...More

Gorgeous patio along side a babbling brook with mountain views complete with fluffy clouds and soaring hawks in the distance. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a great glass of wine for a perfect get away.

Thanks for visiting. Wine is about personal taste for sure, and there's no right or wrong on it. For reference and others reading this: you mention a lack of dry wines, but our current tasting includes two dry white wines and three dry red wines,...More
