If you're a railroad buffet this is a nice place to see while in town. They have old cars to pass thru. Fair amount of historical pictures. A little kids train to ride on.

My husband is a rail fan, so whenever our travels take us anywhere near restored depots, train museums, etc., we always seem to veer in that direction. Inside the restored depot, there is some memorabilia and re-creation of what it looked like back in the...More

We had lots of fun in the museum and walking through the rail cars. Definitely worth a visit if you are ever in Clifton Forge.

Went in searching for a Hinton, West Virginia train poster that I saw in a little eatery in Hinton. (They did not have it in stock, but explained I could order on line.) Ended up buying Chessie Cat items. Fun! So much fun! The gentlemen...More

Passing through on a road trip with 3 twelve year olds and looking for a place to stop and stretch and have a little fun. The price was great, 5 for the kids and 8 for me. There was a museum, tower, and real trains...More

Wonderful activity for kids and adults. Train buffs will love the steam engine, dining car and caboose tour and kids will be fascinated by the model trains. The ride on the small model train is fun for everyone.

A very nice small railroad museum. The staff is friendly and helpful. The whole place is family friendly. You don’t have to be a train geek to enjoy your visit. Some of the smaller exhibits are the most unusual and the most fun. There are...More

This was a great little museum with lots of information about the Chesapeake/Ohio RR. Has a scalerailroad running inside the building and a small train that will run around the yard outside. You can learn about the construction of the line and then climb onto...More

After this stop we really would love to travel by rail.... Especially if we could go back in time. These people have done a great job so far with the museum! And with more cars there waiting for refurbishment there will be even more to...More

It is on the opposite end of town, but I believe it could be walked without too much trouble. Main street is well put together, and the total distance would probably be a mile each way.
