Glass Floor View of Wine Operations
A different A-frame building for their tastings with a glass floor to view their operations. Drinkable wine but not the place for foodies with just a few choices of crackers and cheeses. Apparently, a wedding venue (as most seem to be). Pleasant staff with label art on the walls.

    Nice afternoon at Blenheim vineyards
We had beautiful weather so we ordered a red flight and a white flight and sat under the huge outdoor tent with snacks we brought in. Nice atmosphere and the indoor tasting room is very attractive too. A musician started performing at 3pm. Didn't like any wines enough to purchase, but got a couple Tees design drawn by Dave Matthews

    Can recommend
We recently visited Blenheim, for a red and white shared tasting. It was raining the day we stopped by, but we had a truly enjoyable experience. Blenheim offers cheeses/meats/crackers for purchase, and the wine glasses can be taken with you. We enjoyed both tastings, along with cheese and crackers, and purchased a bottle to take home. We can highly recommend Blenheim for a visit when you are in VA wine country.

We went not realizing reservations were required; none of the signs leading to the vineyard stated reservations required and the other vineyards didn’t require a reservation. After the long drive, we saw the sign, and pulled over to call them. A man answered and said reservations can be made online. Well, we didn’t have much of a cell reception so we couldn’t make an online reservation. Called again, he answered again, and it sounded like he said to go to the gate. Terrible reception so we are not 100% sure. Arrived at the gate and the lady stated they had absolutely no openings right now, and reservations were required. We couldn’t get an idea when they had openings, no one would check, not the man on the phone or the lady at the gate. Has to be done online only apparently! We once stated we didn’t have cell reception there, and she proceeded to not care, and told us how to exit. Parking lot was pretty empty in our opinion. We exited, and finally received cell reception over 20 minutes away and discovered they actually did have openings! Needless to say we were so disappointed that we decided it was not worth the drive back based upon their lack of customer service, and understanding that the area there has no cell reception to make a reservation. We now understand why the parking lot was empty. Only choice is to make that online reservation because they have no concept on how to take an in person or over the phone reservation! Save your time, the other vineyards are more friendly and don’t require online reservations!

My brother is an avid Dave Matthews fan, so this winery was a must see for us on our visit to the Charlottesville area. We made reservations online as required. My brother enjoyed the wines, but since there weren't any sweet options I just enjoyed the beautiful scenery. They have tasting available under a tent or on the deck. The deck has the better views. I believe that picnic snacks are available for purchase, but we had already eaten so didn't try them. Everyone was friendly and we're glad we made the stop.

This is a beautiful winery. There is a gorgeous indoor tasting room with a glass floor. In addition, there are numerous outdoor spaces, including a terrace right off the tasting room, with beautiful views to enjoy a glass of wine. We were there on a cool November day, but were still able to sit outside (in a coat) and enjoy our wine looking over the vineyards. The wine was good and the ambience was even better. Highly recommend if you plan to explore Virginia wineries

My husband and I loved this vineyard. Owned by David Matthews,we didn't know he was also an artist. Some of wines have his own drawings on the labels. The tasting room overlooks the vineyards. Absolutely beautiful and would absolutely go back. It is an easy day trip from Richmond and a beautiful drive.

This winery was just okay. The staff was very friendly. The wines we tasted were okay and prices were a little on the high side. There are others in the area worth your time, if you have extra time. And don’t expect to see Dave Matthews! They had cute t-shirts for sale, as well. We saw people driving in with their picnic lunch and enjoying some wine.

Very disappointed with this vineyard. Staff was rude and their COVID restrictions are ridiculous. They have a large area but don’t allow you to talk to any guests at other tables. Don’t bother stopping at this vineyard. There are others a few miles away that welcome you with friendly staff.

Offering self guided tastings and outdoor seating we opted to share their flight. The flight included 3 wines - a white, rose, and red. The white was our favorite, but the others were good too. Glasses were included with our tasting to take home. The outdoor seating was covered and offered vineyard views and mountains in the distance. It was a wonderful experience!
