Udvar-Hazy is spectacular, an enormous hangar with the Enola Gay, an entire shuttle, simulated space rides, and a great tower that you can just sit in and watch flights take off and land at Dulles. Unfortunately, it's really only worth it if you have a car, a day to kill, and $100 to spend on lunch for a family of... More

I never get tired of visiting here. If you love aviation, this is the place to go. Walking in and seeing the SR71 Blackbird sitting there in all her magnificent dark glory with the Space Shuttle peeking up behind her is just the most breathtaking sight. Very handicap friendly (I pushed my husband all the way around it on each... More

This is an amazing place where you should really plan enough time to take the guided tour, but even if you only have enough time to run in and run out, it's still worth it... and it's FREE! The Enola Gay is here for goodness sake, and a real space shuttle, and an F14 Tomcat, and a Concord Supersonic Jet.... More

Since we had an appointment in Washington DC, we decided to take in a visit to this museum. This is a fantastic museum with the best collection of aircraft. As a pilot, I enjoyed spending many hours of roaming around. For a nominal fee, try out the simulators!

If you love any type of aviation you will not be disappointed going here. The planes in the hangar have been restored to pristine condition and the novelty of getting to walk around them is awesome. The control tower offers great views of planes leaving and landing at nearby Dulles Airport. If you are in the area this museum is... More

No entry fee but $15 to park if you drive. The 983 bus from Dulles is the way to get here. There are some fees for rides (simulators). You can spend a whole day here. It is incredible. The variety of aircraft is beyond belief. And don't miss the SR71 Blackbird.

WOW!!!!!!! What an amazing museum, I was in awe of being next to the shuttle discovery and also the concord . The assortment of planes and jets are just amazing. The museum also has all the engines that the planes or jets used during that time. As soon as you get in the main hanger the 1st plane you see... More
