This lake is a benefit for the community of Burke. The walk round the lake is 1.5 miles on a prepared track. There are turtles and frogs in the lake, together with a resident Heron. There are play parks for the children.

What Lake Braddock lacks in size and remoteness it makes up for with convenience. Nested in the middle of suburban Washington DC is a small lake (or super-sized pond) that allows you to experience a touch of nature without having to drive an extended distance...More

When my family and I lived near Lake Braddock, I took my daughters fishing there. They had a great time. So did I. They had the biggest smile on their face. The date is a bit off but it's the closest date to our trip.

Great place to take a walk, a run or spend time with your pet and clear your head. Very diverse community with playgrounds, a pier and allows for small boats. The lake is for locals - not a destination.

Collect your thoughts while walking around the lake taking in all that nature has to offer. Many types of birds to watch and flora and fauna abound.

Small little "lake" is actually drainage for the community. Nice walking path around it was often crowded. Better to drive a few more miles to Burke Lake.

My wife and I trained for our pilgrimage/hike on the Camino de Santiago in Burke Lake Park. The walk around the lake on a well -used path is a bit challenging, but the weekday peace and quiet are worth the visit. In the summer, weekends...More

Love to walk around it, with or without a dog. Well kept, since this belongs to the Lake Braddock HOA; for people measuring the length of the parh around the lake it is 1.5 miles and indicated on the path. Lots of geese at times.
