Very busy on weekends, there are a variety of wine testing options, and the tours are free (which we missed). The Reserve reds and dessert wines are worth tasting; can’t say as much for the rest. Almost all are available at Wegman’s in Charlottesville, even...More

It was raining so we couldn't walk around but everywhere you looked was beautiful. Grounds well taken care of. Tasting room was empty when we arrived. A large tasting menu (13) with small pours for reasonable pricing ($7).

We went in for a tasting, it was fun and very different than any I have been to. We had two servers one for the white wines and another server for the red wines. I think in a rush this conveyer belt type system must...More

beautiful location, extensive property with great views and nice deck . one of the largest tasting menus I've seen. Great variety of wines, didn't try the dessert wines ( not my thing) but the rest were wonderful!

We tend to like sweet wines and they are primarily dry wines. But we did find several we liked. Very well done, nice tasting room with very knowledgeable staff. On site restaurant and beautiful picturesque country side. Plenty of parking and reasonably priced wine.

Absolutely the best. Tasting room is large and inviting with many tasting stations and selections. The staff is super friendly. Their award winning wines, especially Ocatagon, are amazing. Great setting surrounded by vineyards .

This is Virginia’s largest and most awarded winery, dating to 1976. It is large by Virginia standards and has a very large tasting room with multiple spots to taste the wines, grouped by type. They also have an excellent tour with a very knowledgeable tour...More

After our wine pairing lunch at Palladio, we stretched our legs and walked to the Barboursville Ruins. Like viewing a window to the paste. This mansion, designed by Jefferson, has been preserved as ruins since a massive fire rendered it inhabitable in 1894. Massive columns,...More

During our Winery trip, we of course, wanted to sample their renowned "Octagon" wine. It was very good as was the tasting room experience. The site has quite a historical significance as well as a nice ambiance to go with their wines. Well worth a...More
