When you are in southern Vermont catch whatever play the Weston Playhouse Theatre Company is offering. There are two venues...the more traditional Playhouse and the New Stage....Weston at Walker Farm......across Route 100 from each other. The productions are very professional...sometimes a New Work is being...More

I live in NYC and see about 60 plays a year, so imagine my excitement to find a summer stock theater that measures up to the Off-Broadway (and sometimes even Broadway) theater I enjoy. I keep returning to Weston for the beautiful vistas, the Vermont...More

My husband and I have been going to the Weston Playhouse for years, enjoying absolutely first rate productions. We just moved to VT full time this January and while I will miss going into NYC regularly to go to the theater, we feel so very...More

Weston Playhouse productions are one step below a bad junior high school revival of Grease. Pathetic. Don't waste your money on this dreadful shabby pretentious small-town amateur hour.

A tired, uninspired show. The performers were ok, but just ok, the same folks who put on a mediocre Mama Mia and a terrible Man of La Mancha last year. The production felt a bit like a high school one, except at high school, at...More

Splendid summer theater. Magnificent infrastructure and view of the stage. Terrific Production of the script (this was Eugene O'Neill's 'Long Day's Journey into Night') See the photos. Original building replaced (burnt down 1962) and rebuild has large lobby, vestibule, sitting room, porch to comfortably wait...More

We had front-row seats (there were no others left in center section at the time we made reservations for this sold-out show) and enjoyed the experience immensely. The actors/singers were real pros--right down to the youngest members of the cast. The show was well directed,...More

You really can tell these folks have been producing quality theater for years, and have developed access to top talent. I strongly suspect you could not go wrong with whatever they are putting on. We obtained two of the last available seats for the Saturday...More

We saw "Music Man" last week, and it was fantastic! We really enjoyed "Mamma Mia" in August 2016, and knew we wanted to return this year! A professional cast, a wonderful theater, and a wonderful treat in small-town Weston. A gem!

Three parts to my response: First, this Playhouse is almost unique as the rows are further apart than most so there is plenty of leg room. Second, the actors wear mini-microphones so one can hear from anywhere. Third, In... More
