We understand that there should be gardens in the area but we did not see anything but we drove around, saw the lodge and the view from up the hill.

We were there for spring break this year and while spring broke early it didn't impact the snow on the mountain. In fact we had that crazy blizzard and got a few extra feet that left the place looking much like a picture post card....More

Gorgeous mountain with many fine accommodations and restaurants in the area. Although the Toll Road is a good one for intermediate skiiers, we have found most of the mountain is geared toward expert skiiers. Often cold and sometimes icy.

So my wife n I stopped in for a night while visiting Vermont. It was an amazing place. The views and the service took it to another level. Would live to come back during winter.

Even the DOOR to our room was remarkable and classy, at least 3 inches thick of hardwood and VERY heavy!! A private Gondola only for this resort directly to the slopes. Concierge was great.

I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with a day at Stowe Mountain. I had booked ahead and originally planned to do the zipline and then the treetop adventure. The weather was not on board with that plan, so the staff at the Adventure Center...More

Stowe Mountain Resort is part of a GIANT luxury development with condos, golf courses, and of course skiing. So the lodge is HUGE, the rooms all have wonderful views, they have a swim-out pool, and very expensive valet parking and breakfasts buffets. Unfortunately, service is...More

Additional places to visit would be Burlington about 30 minutes away with Lake Champlain and nice views across the lake to New York State. If it's hot, take a Ferry ride or Spirit of Ethan Allen or go to the beach. A popular... More
