On st.patricks day myself and seven of my friends took the gondola to its end, then we hiked almost straight up to the summit. The winter storm stella had dropped 40 inches just days before,so the climb was in thigh high snow, while carrying our skis. The summit is the highest point in vt. and the views were stunning. What was even more stunning was... While I am not a huge fan of Eastern skiing, having skied mostly out West, I was very impressed by Stowe. Very modern and well maintained mountain with the latest electronic passes. Crowds when we were there were minimal, but it could have been because the weather was so cold. Felt like a smaller version of a good Western resort... More

I've skied Mount Mansfield all my life but this weekend was the best spring skiing ever. 19 inches of fresh powder Saturday and Sunday was fantastic too.

Stowe has become a destination resort with fantastic terrain for all abilities. Great modern lodges. Plentiful restaurants and great lodging options. They have put a tremendous amount of money into this resort and it shows. One of the best ski areas in the east!

I agree with Walker B- I'd hate to see this place go the way of Vail, but it will: Vail bought it from AIG. Yes, you get snobs, but I'd rather lump them with the rest of the rude, inconsiderate world of fools one finds anywhere. You get just as many mature, respectful and careful skiers. Skiing is an expensive... More

Booked a 1 hour private intermediate ski lesson for $250/hour at Stowe Ski School in Stowe Mountain Resort. Ski instructor Josh was assigned, his immediate mantra was all ski lessons I have taken was wrong. This young unexperienced self-conceited bad ski instructor and Stowe Ski School's school of thought is that all other instructors are wrong, unfortunately, their teaching method... More

Are you looking for good skiing and short to no lines? I was surprised to get front row parking. Once I had to wait for one group to grab the lift in front of me on the quad. We were here for the last week of March. They have on location rentals. (I did not use them) There are several... More

This was my first time here and really enjoyed the skiing experience.Went skiing surrounded by beautiful scenery. After skiing, there were several restaurants to choose from and also shops at the Spruce Peak Village Center within walking distance.

We stayed here just 5 days for skiing. The hotel is nice. The room could be a little bigger once they say it has a kitchen. It is a mini, mini kitchen. You can prepare your breakfast and some sandwiches. The linens is getting old and it is time for new ones. We had a view of the slopes what... More

We love Stowe Vermont and the ski resort. We leaned to ski in the French Alps and have skied the Canadian and US Rockies. We love the friendly resorts that have great skiing while not being so sprawling that you loose your friends after the first run. Our favorite trails are Nose Dive, North Slope and Gondolier - typically groomed... More
