We met friends for dinner here and were swept off of our feet. The atmosphere of this grand old place is exquisite, with beautifully maintained elegant architecture which is filled with beautiful antiques, and unbelievable views of Lake Champlain. Dinner comes from their own farm and is therefore fresh and sustainable. The entrees are creative and delicious, and should prove... More

I've had the pleasure of visiting Shelburne Farms for close to 20 years, with friends, with my children when they were little and most recently often as a solo trail runner. A wonderful place to take young children but really a destination for all ages. The farm barn offers hands-on experiences with sheep, goats, chickens, pigs and learning activities. There... More

What a day to remember; a cold day but with the bluest sky and an extensive lush green landscape. We only visited the main farm building but what a lot to see! We saw cheddar being made, a carpenter at work and lots of lovely animals. The petting farm was the best part in fact; up close and personal with... More

The views here are absolutely stunning! The rooms, service, and food left us amazed and refreshed. The afternoon tea over looking the lake is a must! If you have children, make sure to check out the kids room with large dollhouses! The inn was picture perfect in every detail.

We were here on 7.10.15 - for brunch......it was a glorious day weather wise and just wonderful driving up to the Hotel. Service from the staff was very pleasant, food was good - a really lovely treat!! Then to walk around the grounds, down to the Lake, the bakery et al - just a wonderful time!!

When we visited in mid-November, there were many locals enjoying the beautiful walking trails. We caught a sunset from Lone Tree Hill, then returned the next morning for a longer look around. The farm barn and inn are amazing buildings - we felt like we'd dropped into medieval Scandinavia - very photogenic. There were free relish and cheese samples in... More

Great place. Went there on September 19th, 2015, for the Fall Festival. So much to see and do and eat! There were llamas; a Klezmer-type band with dancers; face-painting; a chicken barn; cows and calves; a school; and a variety of food to eat, including samples of many kinds of cheese.

We enjoyed taking the kids there to see the demonstrations about different farm animals and how they live / work on the farm. The farm is beautiful. Don't take the wagon ride to the barn, you can take it on the way back, but walk to the barn because the trail is well worth the effort. While there you can... More

Quiet, accessible and gorgeous views across the waters and through the autumn woods. We didn't visit the farm itself as we were enjoying the perfect weather.

Shelburne Farms is romantic, European in feel with a relaxed Vermont influence. The scenery is spectacular with beautiful gardens and views of/access to Lake Champlain. When I eat outside in the summer, I feel like I am in Italy and the staff make me feel like I own the place. While the restaurant is elegant, it welcomes all. My favorite... More
