Spent several hours at this farm once owned by a Vanderbilt. Did the property tour and was amazed by the barns and the house, which is now an inn and restaurant. The property sits along Lake Champlain. We had reservations for dinner and returned when...More

This place is nothing short of stunning. Absolutely extraordinary landscape, architectural wonders (barns like palaces) and a superb way to get exercise and phenomenal food, if you're looking for either. I spend hours there each week just walking--whether you have 30 minutes or 3 hours...More

To be once owned by one family is amazing. Nice place for a bike ride, to large for a walk. A view of the lake to die for.The (HOUSE) is only open in the summer.

Shelburne Fans is beautiful, a combination of all good things: fields, architecture, specimen trees, gardens. We took a long walk along farm roads that led to Lake Champlain, then up to the Inn and back. Along the way, there are lovely things to see --...More

Absolutely beautiful estate, with fairytale charm. Clearly every aspect is well taken care of. The "Farm Barn" houses a petting zoo of sorts with a cow, a couple calves, a few sheep and goats, and some hens. This area would be a great place to...More

What you may have meant to say is that you have nothing negative to say. I couldn't agree more. My only regret was not staying for lunch.

The area around Lake Champlain and Montpelier offer a lot to do and experience. Quaint towns & wonderful rustic farm experiences at old Vanderbilt and Rockefeller estates.
