The Shelburne Museum truly has something for everyone, and one day is not nearly enough time to take it all in. We were there for 5 hours and probably only enjoyed half the buildings on the property. All but one of the buildings was moved...More

This is so huge, you will need an entire day, or two. Admission is for two days.. Be prepared to walk. Bring snacks or a picnic lunch and drinks in a backpack. This is truly amazing. The property is gigantic with about 40 historic buildings,...More

The Shelburne Museum is a special piece of Vermont. Lots of beautiful grounds to have a picnic on, take pictures, let the kids run around. So many historical buildings, we are regulars but each time we go we see and learn something new!

Rarely do you find a place that brings you back time after time. This was my third visit to the Shelburne Museum and I want to go again. What is unique about this place is that it's many museums on one campus. They display everything...More

It never gets old visiting the Shelburne Musuem! Always things to see and do. Also, one of the best gift shops I've ever seen. From my niece's wedding reception on the Ticonderoga paddle wheeler to gallery reviews, there is always something interesting going on.

I love going to Shelburne Museum. Just beautiful to walk around and experience a variety of sites, learn, etc. And the new Pizzagalli Center offers amazing exhibits year round. Even the view from the parking lot of the Adirondacks across the lake can be beautiful!...More

This is an eclectic out of the way museum. We visited in the off season when only three exhibition sites were open. We enjoyed the Backstage photographic exhibition of rock-n-roll stars of the near and distant past. It brought back fond memories. Their collection of...More

I am going as part of a group of relatives. I love museums and historical recreations, but am somewhat challenged for walking great distances. Are there places to sit and rest throughout the park? Are there water fountains, or should I bring bottled water which makes for extra weight? Thanks!

They have a shuttle, a large covered vehicle that runs a regular circuit around the property so you can get to each of the areas without excessive walking. I would bring a water bottle if it is warm. You can stay at any of... More

I don't know but they are very easy going so just give them a call. Make sure you differentiate between the Farm and the Museum as they are two distinct organizations.

Much of the museum is in separate buildings so if you require assistance you should call the museum and ask if they have wheelchairs and how much of the museum is accessible via wheelchair
