I expected this to be hokey and disappointing, but it was just the opposite. The gallery was closed, so I can't speak to it, but the respect and heart that was put into this place was quite impressive. It made me think about things that I wouldn't have even considered otherwise, of course related to our pets. The things you've... More

Just a fun little place to visit :-) don't go out of your way, but do stop if you are within 15-20 minutes of it. A great little St. Johnsbury side-bar!

Dog Chapel is part of Dog Mountain. Voted #1 in a USA Today survey of Best Dog Friendly places. If you're anywhere near the area you won't be disappointed to drive up the mountain and take a look. The views are awesome but the Chapel is even more amazing.

This Chapel is totally amazing. We were so overtaken with emotion walking into it. We lost our beloved dog 10 months ago and had to stop here. It is truly amazing that the couple that created this place could attract so many people. The chapel benches had carved dogs on each end, the walls of the chapel were completed covered... More

We stopped by for a quick visit while passing through town. This is a small chapel dedicated to man's best friends. There is also a small art gallery next door. The visit is free and well worth the stop.

Dog mountain and the Dog Chapel are really the same place. Dog mountain is a place to bring your woofer and have him/her run around and make friends with other woofers. They have a field, pond, picnic tables, the Dog Chapel (post-it notes on the wall with messages from other dog owners and an inner chapel to sit and think... More

Our family brought our two new pups here and LOVED it. We will definitely be back! It was so amazing to see a chapel completely devoted to dogs.

If you are a dog lover and/or have lost a dog this is the spot to visit and remember. You can leave a note with your dog's name, pray or just read what others have written.

This is part of the dog mountain review as well. A great place that pays tribute to man's best friend with statues, sculptures and a real chapel that has stories from people around the world who have posted pictures, letters about their dogs. There is a gift shop on the property that supports the upkeep of the chapel, picnic tables,... More
