Eclectic collections inside this museum. External architecture is very nice. Lots of stuffed animals and birds, as well as colletcions of fossils, butterflies, American Indian artifacts, and so on. Worth a stop if in the area.

This was really hard for me to rate. For Vermont- what an amazing natural history collection, but having been to big city museums, it was a little lackluster. The planetarium show was pretty cool. I believe the museum has over 5,000 taxidermy birds, which was...More

The Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium Is an excellent place to spend an afternoon. There are many exhibits to view, and audio tour of the exhibits. The Planetarium show as fabulous.

Leave a serious chunk of time to really take in all the items on display here. We had about an hour and half before the planetarium show, and ended up rushing to catch the show. A vast and wealthy collection preserved and didplayed very well....More

This was an accidental find while visiting Saint Johnsbury. The displays are diverse and fascinating. The planetarium show was fun and informative. To top it off it is truly a beautiful building to tour.

Good value and educational. Saw many exhibits that were fascinating. Walked way with an appreciation of history of different cultures.

I agree, a little on the expensive side for walking around to look at the myriad stuffed/taxidermy birds, mammals, and reptiles. Many unique creatures and artifacts. Visit the scale outside the Planetarium to see what you would weigh on the Moon or Mars! Spend a...More

Great planetarium show. You should go just for that. It does cost extra beyond the museum ticket. The museum has a lot of taxidermied animals. It takes about an hour to go through the museum. Areas for kids to learn in and a cool butterfly...More
