you pay about 13 dollars a person to see only few birds , but my god these birds are beutiful , even if I had known its only few birds I would pay the money to see them as they are very unique and beutiful .

A great find on a rainy day - although it would have been more pleasant if the sun was shining so we could really enjoy being outside and observing the birds, the raptors and the well-maintained trail system. My 3 kids (5,8,10) really enjoyed the classroom presentations and seeing live owls, hawks, falcons and learning about how the trainers and... More

I cannot say enough about how great our experience at VINS was. We chose a day during our visit to Woodstock on which we would be able to take a 'behind-the-scenes' tour. Even though the weather was spotty, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were all extremely knowledgable and friendly, and it was obvious they were very passionate about what... More

This bird refuge rehabilitates birds of prey. The grounds were cute and clean. We got up close to many varieties of owls, condors, Hawks, and Eagles including two huge bald eagles. In the classroom section we watched the birds being trained in a flight demonstration. Pretty awesome. Then we saw them feed.

I have visited here on several occasions: once for an excellent retreat/conference, where speakers spoke of the type of terrain found here, such as vernal pools and the wildlife they attract, as well as of birds in their care; and a couple of times as a regular visitor to VINS. On the latter occasions, I had guests with me from... More

What a wonderful refuge not only for the birds and other animals at VINS but for travelers wishing to reconnect with nature! A very cordial and warm staff, knowledgeable. Great exhibits and a very comfortable classroom for interactive learning. We were there for the morning class with raptors. Very informative!! Then, we walked the trails, which was fun. Snowshoe rentals... More

Wonderful staff, beautiful facility, great opportunity for hands on learning. We stumbled on this driving by and the entrance looked so inviting we decided to check it out. So glad we did!! Really enjoyed our visit. If you're looking for things to do to keep the kids busy - highly recommended.

Our group really enjoyed the visit. Educational, informative and fun. The Raptor exhibit is especially worthwhile and the staff could not be nicer.

I had a wonderful experience at VINS. They really are a wonderful education facility for injured wildlife that provides first hand experiences and knowledge about raptors. You should at least catch the raptor show. Great facility and a wonderful staff.
