Yes, you must view the Gorge from the bridge but after being amazed by that be sure to walk to the bottom of the Gorge. Not many tourists seem willing to take this short hike. It's not difficult but it is uphill on the way...More

A beautiful narrow gorge that never fails to delight! Skip if you don't like heights although it is extremely well fenced in! Was particularly beautiful on this visit because of the spectacular fall foliage. Combine with a visit to Simon Pearce.

The water was low but it still was a cool site to see. We walked across the bridge and we also took the trail down the the gorge. There is a path you can walk along to the larger pool section of the gorge.

The second you walk up to it you ate amazed!! Just breathtaking. Make sure you have your camera ready. We was told about this place by a guy at the hotel. I'm so glad he did. I'm so happy we didn't miss this place.

Great views and easily accessible. You can park at the gift shop by the bridge and easily walk across the bridge or hike to the bottom of the gorge.

Went to VT to leaf peep and this was a find. Such a beautiful spot. We stayed at the top to look but some people go to the bottom.

For anyone visiting Vermont , this should be a priority to visit. The gorge is centrally located in east central Vermont. This is a true expression of the beauty of Vermont. See it in the fall with the leaves changing and it will be that...More

This is a place you will want to stop for a few pics. Just be very careful if you have small children with the traffic as it is along the roadway.

I would not advise you to hike to the river. It is very beautiful in the area and other things to do but you would have to stand on the bridge and just look down on the gorge.

Yes. I didn't see any indication that the trail closes. Park at the visitor's center and you can access the trail by walking behind the building. Definitely worth it!
