Can't say anything bad about this museum. It's a very manageable size with great exhibits that interest my 5, 8 and 10 year olds, as well as my 40ish year old husband! We love to visit in the summer when the water exhibits are working outside. Great place to bring a picnic. We are now members (despite living 1.5 hours... More

Just echoing what many others have said previously. We have travelled to many different children's museums in several different states, and this is by far one of the best. It's the perfect size, very engaging, with a "hands-on" focus to all of its exhibits. We live 1.5 hours away, but visit this museum at least 6 times a year because... More

My 10 year old son LOVED this museum! He could have stayed all day (and wanted to!) We stayed about 2.5-3 hours, and would have stayed longer if we didn't have other plans. There are lots of different activities that we both enjoyed - three or four floors of activities and hands on exhibits! I love that there are outdoor... More

Kids loved this place! I have to say, there are a lot of things I learned myself and there were some great puzzles that I had to be dragged out by my wife from because they were very challenging for me. There were exhibits in physics and mechanics as well as exhibits detailing the lives of real bees and ants.... More

I must admit I was very skeptical when I went into the museum. My sister, a biology student at Dartmouth, really wanted to go, but all I saw were little kids. So we paid the $13 entry -- a bit pricey if you ask me -- and went in. As I walked around the animal exhibits on the first floor... More

Great for young ones and old ones! We had a great time! We will be sure to return. The outside trails are a lot of fun!

Wonderful museum with a focus on children's exhibits that they can touch and feel. We went to see "Sue", T Rex (that exhibit ends 9/7/14), but the rest of the museum is worth a visit any time. I am embarrassed to say that I didn't realize it was there-just off I 91 north of White River Junction. Very impressive for... More

If I could award more than 5 stars I would. We just loved this museum so much that we are going back again in a couple of days. We are not children but seniors (in our 2nd childhood perhaps) and there was just so much for us to do. I actually enjoyed the T-rex exhibit and I don't like dinosaurs.... More

Pretty much guaranteed to find fun for almost any type of kid. With lots of outdoor as well as indoor stuff, works perfectly on a cloudy day. Parents will enjoy the science and the trails not to mention seeing their kids so productively entertained.

I cannot say enough good things about the Montshire. My kids love the hands on activities and walking trails. Best part is the water exhibits outside. We spend the entire day here...open to close. Highly recommended for families with children under age 14.
