This area can be a bit buggy, so plan ahead and keep on hiking! Moderate hike has nicely varied terrain, with a great view from the top

We hiked Camel's Hump on October 8th and are still marveling both about the beauty of the place and the fact that we actually made it to the top. We hiked Mt. Mansfield the day before and were disappointed that the weather spoiled our view....More

Just hiked it two days ago and it was phenomenal!!! We are not hikers, but we accompanied another couple who are. The trail is rated moderate difficulty by the Vermont State Parks website, though other sites list it either as for beginners or easy. No...More

Hiked on a Friday. Steep hike mainly rock to rock with the final .3 mile being the steepest. The view from the top is extraordinary and well worth the hard work. Took us 1 hour and 25 minutes to the top starting on the Burrows...More

This is a decent hike. I have hiked higher peaks before. I was with some other people and we gave it our best effort as a group. I recommend bringing water for sure and hydrating. If it is a hot day it will make it...More

From the Huntington side of the mountain - the trailhead is on the end of Camels Hump Road. Trail head parking will accommodate about 18-24 cars - arrive early as this is the most popular route up the mountain and the lot fills up pretty...More

I did this years ago with my children who were in their teens and I was in better shape. This walk will take time. Take water, snacks and many breaks going up, but it is well worth your time.

I visited the Stowe area during the winter. Most days the sky was overcast and the Camel's Hump could not be seen...but eventually the weather broke and the view of the Mountain was breath taking!

I agree. Sneakers are quite adequate however...the trail is a very loose rocky one and some people might need the support of a firmer hiking shoe
