It is amazing the quality and creativity in this shop. Farm made lavender balm to hand knit hats made from: mohair, wool and rabbit all from Vermont. This is a stop if you seek something unique from Vermont for yourself or for a loved one. You won't find "Made in China" there.

We were staying across the street for a crafting retreat and what better way to augment the outing with a visit to this gem of a store! They are so friendly and knowledgable about their products. They offer helpful advice if you have a questions. I love this store and went back 3 times during my stay at Phinneas Swann!

The Mountain Fiber Folk Cooperative and Shop provides a delightful variety of handmade fiber crafts and supplies. The products are of the highest quality and the shop is artfully arranged. It is a beautiful experience whether you are a fiber craftsperson looking for supplies or an admirer looking for gifts.

Mountain Fiber Folk is the store for a co-op of local farmers that sell the wool products from their sheep and other animals. The woman was very friendly and welcoming, and the small store is full of a variety of products. We had a great time and brought home an alpaca dryer ball!

We came across this store and were so amazed with what we found. The quality of each piece was impeccable and it had the name of the animal that it came from. We were lucky enough to be there during their farm to yarn tour and I was able to visit the sheep that made my hat. So fun!!!

I visited this store in June; I went in on a whim, just to look around. The staff person was really friendly and interesting, and I ended up having a great time looking around and talking with her! She explained the cooperative nature of the store, and told me about the various yarns they sell, much of which is hand spun by members. I bought some beautiful alpaca for a scarf. She even suggested a pattern and wrote out the directions for me. I would definitely return to this shop if I'm ever in Montgomery

Fun to browse but way to expensive unless you have deep pockets and impulse shop! Crafters are happy to chat about their weaves, woods and warps. If you shun super fiber winter clothes for the real deal, you'll want mittens, socks and hats from this shop and can probably buy a ewe for the price. Local honey sold here is AMAZING. Read the label and call the honey guy for a better price in his driveway way way up one of the back roads.

This little shop has it all! Crochet friendly, spinners welcomed, knitters' paradise. I would recommend stopping in if you are visiting or staying near-by. The person helping us was kind in answering all questions and very knowledgable on the products. I loved the "color of the month" table--the yarns were SO wonderfully presented. Many felted arts to purchase and supplies.
