This is a nice local museum of Vermont history. There are lots of artifacts including furniture and art works. The bicycle exhibit was the most notable part of the visit and should not be missed if you are interested in biking or history. This museum packs a lot in a small space.

This was a great exhibit in a nice museum. The museum's main exhibit is life in Vermont with collections from Henry Sheldon. But, the bicycling exhibit has old bicycles, pictures of people using the bicycles and explanations about them. Worth the visit, plus a nice gift shop.

The Henry Sheldon Museum in Middlebury does a great job of telling the history of Addison County. Their exhibits provide a good way to learn about the area over many decades. They also offer special exhibits. Their next one starting in June covers the history of cycling. Seeing all the early 20th century bicycles was the best part of our... More

See what it was like to live in Middlebury in the 18th century. Great collection of paintings and items when times were simpler.

If you'd like to wander through a condensed version of Vermont history, this is the place. It's a very manageable size, and sometimes they have a guest artist or speaker on site to offer a short lecture. We were lucky to meet Mr. Warren Kimble, an eclectic artist who makes one think of life from different perspectives. Definitely worth a... More

A nice respite in Middlebury Vermont. Well with the time to stop in and check it out. Nicely presented and convenient. Park by the Library and walk across the street.

If your in Middlebury you should check this out, however I would not make a special trip. They do have some interesting displays especially around the holidays when they have the train display. That is a definite must if you have toddlers.

A very good local museum with multiple rooms in an old building. Occasional special exhibits. Lot of emphasis on the Addison County area. Worth a visit.

An eclectic museum showing the interests of an earlier settler in the Shire Town of Middlebury, Henry Sheldon. Well worth your visiting time.

A wonderful museum depicting the history and life style of Addison County and Vermont in what New Englanders would call the early days.
