Spring time and the falls were rocking. A must see if you visit Manchester. You'll need good balance and a stick to cross the streams, or mdi-height waterproof boots to walk right through.

You'd never know there's a 200ft Waterfall just on the edge of town. The hike is easy to moderate depending on the weather but can be more for the expert in winter due to ice etc. The falls can be raging in spring and down...More

My husband and I found the hike to Lye Brook Falls to be pretty challenging. I think it took us about 3.5 hours to get to the falls, and only about half that time to get back to our car. The hike is difficult at...More

I’ve been hiking up to Lye Brook Falls since I was a kid (now 66) and never cease to be captivated. Yes, you have to hike in to see it, but as hikes in Vermont go this is a fairly easy stroll with a real...More

I thought it was an easy hike before we got there. The weather was bad. We only met 5 people on our way in and out. Rivers ran fast because of the rain. The trail was muddy and slippery. We got a little afraid given...More

A friend and I drove up from Mass looking for a new challenging and rewarding hiking experience. We found it! The trail itself was rocky and covered with fallen leaves, hiking boots recommended as it was easy to roll your ankles on the uneven and...More

Easy to moderate hike with a rewarding view of the falls. Plan about 2.5 hours if you want to hike it with younger children.

Beautiful place, real contact with nature, peaceful and very green-colorful in autumn! The trekking is about 1 1/2 but easy to do it, and while walking through the forest make it pass really fast.
