I'm so glad I found this Arts Center listed in things to do in Manchester, we enjoyed the center immensely. The art starts when you drive up the winding driveway with large sculptures in the fields and woods. We visitd the Wilson building first with it's large open staircase filled with huge sculptures, it was very impressive. We then headed... More

I'm always surprised by my visits to SVAC, and the variety of artwork on display. From traditional pastoral paintings, to be expected in southern VT I suppose, to more (to me) interesting traveling exhibits, there is always something to surprise and delight. I haven't been since the new restaurant opened, but in the past I've enjoyed having a meal onsite.

We arrived on a Monday - the art center was closed BUT we got to enjoy the beautiful sculptors along the loop driveway and in the yard. The sculptors are fantastic and the whole area is great. Some of the pieces are sophisticated and one can enjoy just walking around, adoring the beautiful scenery and the best of art since... More

There are 2 buildings with local art on display in a nice rural setting. It will take an hour to go through the entire exhibit, but there is nothing jaw dropping on display. The grounds with the woods, and scattered modern sculpture works is the most appealing feature.

This Arts Center is a jewel. Situated on a welcoming site with different sculpture pieces that lead you to the two buildings on property. There are two buildings; one seems more museum like and the other houses multiple pieces of art (for sale) spread over two levels. The art is eclectic and includes photography as well. It is well worth... More

We've been here many times but this time of year they have local artists works on display that can also be purchased. There are many galleries on both floors and art work tends toward natural scenery but there are other areas of art covered as well as sculptures. There is also the permanent collection and the sculptures that dot the... More

We had a free afternoon in Manchester, and didn't want to spent it shopping, so we found this gem! Really, whatever your tastes in art, I think you'll really enjoy a visit.

I recently viewed David Brewster's paintings at SVAC and commended the Center on its handsome exhibition rooms, indirect lighting and appropriate temperature. The Center provides year-round activities and exhibitions for the community and its visitors. There is nothing quite comparable in the area.

Just taking the ride up the mountain to this small but wonderful museum is worth visiting. Along the way up there is interesting sculptures along the way. The museum is house in an old Manchester mansion and some new buildings. There is nice cafe. Also, this is the summer site of the excellent Manchester Music Festival.

We visited the SVAC this summer and throughly enjoyed all of the paintings and photography in the Yester House Gallery. We attended an open house and were very fortunate to see the exciting glass exhibit in the Wilson museum too! We were treated to delicious finger foods, desserts, punch and wine. The cucumber sandwiches are the best along with chocolate... More
