Easy hike for any ability in summer. Can be a bit tricky with hills in the winter with ice. Be careful as it is difficult to tell where water is during the winter months. Totally worth going though! Fantastic swimming hole in the summer as...More

Beautiful, free, easy to get there, lots of space, clear water, but cold, but worth it to jump in. It was an adventure, our whole group enjoyed it.

Buttermilk Falls offers a scenic hiking area, with 3 waterfalls and plenty of areas to swim and even cliff jump near the bridge at the upper falls. Anytime a year Buttermilk is a nice spot to visit.

Just took a quick peek at lower falls with kids during stick season. Not much to do outside of that and unmarked paths were not something I was going to tackle by myself with two little ones. You just park on the side of the...More

These falls are close to town and easy to reach. The falls themselves are beautiful and surprisingly peaceful and uncrowded given how close they are to the highway. If your adventurous you can even swim in the pools that have been created at their base....More

Nice little spot with a decent amount of space to hike. Lots of little waterfalls along the way. Enjoyable. Can get a bit busy so I'd avoid on the weekends if possible. Always a refreshing stop & really close to town. Pet and people friendly!

The falls are right off the road, just a short drive from town. Beautiful and easy to access. A short hike down. Well marked. No real parking. You have to park on the side of the road. But it is so worth the trip!

The waterfall is small but beautiful. Given the overly warm temperatures this fall, people were still swimming here in September!!! must see for sure!!!

Great little hike, though do be careful the rocks can be slippery( I fell in!) local swimming hole. Clean water!

Great place for adventurous families willing to traverse the unmarked trails. Best to ask someone walking out best routes in and which of the upper or lower holes best based on water level. We found upper better in late summer.

It's not really a picnic destination. Better to hike the falls and then drive 5 minutes to Okemo mountain and picnic on the slopes. In fact, if you want to have a picnic/hiking day, drive to the top of the clock tower base... More
