Disappointing. We go every year, and this year, the lazy river and at least one water slide were not operational due to ‘staffing shortages’. Prices on food, drink and tickets were high and the quality was diminished.

Also, they paid lip service to Covid protocols but the gel dispensers were out of gel and there were no paper towels in the dispensers near the pools. There were too many children in the hot tub (babies, excuse me did the parents not understand the rules or risks?!) and too few staff to be safe (at one point a single teenager was responsible for monitoring 3 separate slides). It is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Lastly, there were 2 individuals during so kind of touron the FloRider. These hot dogs were hogging the ride while kids we’re queuing up. I am not sure if it was to inspire cool, bit it was kind of lame to see middle aged men take this so seriously.

Stayed the weekend at Jay Peak Resort, the AC in the hotel was poor or non existent for many that stayed with the wedding party guests! Also…the hotel does not have any wash cloths or cleaning service if staying more than one night? The cost was high for the hotel and the Pump House.
The lazy river was closed, and the water park shut down early one day as well. Would not go again. Save the money!

I'll say right up front that I don't recommend the Pumphouse. It's very expensive. It was $246 for two days for three of us. This is a fairly low end water park in the middle of nowhere (4 slides, a small surfing pool, hot tubs, lazy river and a few other nic-knacks), not Disney World! In addition, you're going to get nickel-and-dimed. Lockers are $9 a day (more on this later), food is expensive and bland (chicken nuggets, burgers, and Fries) or you can go to an upscale cart called, (this is really what it's called) Miso Hungry, and pay $40 for 3 bowls of Ramen. My beer was $10. I looked into staying at the lodge overnight but that was over $400 once all the taxes and fees were added, appropriate for Boston, not Jay. We ended up at a $100 a night Airbnb that was very nice. All in I spent around $600, including meals and accomodation..

For these reasons alone I would suggest you should go only if you limit yourself to 1 day and not stay overnight (it's not exciting enough for 2 days), then it might be worth it. However I had a strange experience that will ensure I never return. The $9 locker requires a $20 key deposit. Since we were staying for 2 days, I kept the locker key overnight. When I came in in the morning, I wanted to ensure that we still had the locker, so I asked and they said I could still use it but that I would not get my deposit back because I didn't return it at the end of the 1st day. I spoke to two seperate employees about this and got the same tune. When I mentioned that given those facts, I had no reason to return their key, they said they know. I suggested that this wasn't very safe for the next person because I would have a key to their locker, but they were not swayed. I am sure I am not the only key holder out there, so beware if you trust your belongings to them. When I told them I was planning on writing about my experience they said that was 'understandable' (that's a quote from the employee who kept my deposit). I've been to the water park in Queensbury, New York and I would recommend that one or Bromley Mountain as an alternative. Good luck!

Lazy river is close because of covid but people pass by you without masks and nobody cares about 6 feet while waiting for slides

Unless you're a complete covidiot, you'll probably feel slightly uncomfortable at the Jay Peak Pump House. This is an indoor waterpark, and while it runs at limited capacity, about 1/3 of the area is closed. This makes no sense: people end up packed in the remaining open pools, clearly not respecting social distancing rules, or waiting on line at the flowriding pool while the employee on his day off monopolizes the pool. Is there any good reason why the activity river, by far the largest pool of the park, is closed?

We have just spent 3 days at the Pump House. Everybody in our family (kids 8, 7 and 4) had a blast. The waterpark is small but fun. We will be back.

Kids were on vacation so we did a day trip as $300 a night for the hotel was not in the budget. The water park was okay. Never enough seating and the food is outrageously expensive. The biggest down fall are NO lights in the parking lot at night. My son and I went to get our car and I was nearly struck by a car. Not his fault as I was wearing black and there were NO lights.

This is a fun place to hang out any time of day or night. The staff is very friendly, helpful and provide excellent service. The food is really good. I love the maple old fashioned. Also they make a mean hot tottie! Every Tuesday they have trivia and it is very competitive. The bar is full of folks from Jay, employees of the mountain, skiers and lodgers. It is a lot of fun and very competitive. So if you can't handle the trash talk and very smart opponents, come and watch the show!

Never again, we spent 4 days there from Jan 1st to 5th, 2020 and the pool area was dirty every day and smelled of pee. The rooms were not clean when we got it we were supposed to get our room at5 we got it at 8:30 and it hadn’t been cleaned, the sheets had blood on them the bathroom sink had old toothpaste in it the room smelled bad too. The carpets weren’t vacuumed. And the only thing they said was well it’s our busy season. I give this place 0 thumbs up. I’ll never go back there
