I have been going to the Shrine all my life. I grew up 15 minutes from here and now live well over 300 miles away but I travel back here at least once or twice a year for a visit. It is a beautiful spot, virtually unspoiled by time. The place is about spirit. It's a peaceful, tranquil spot on... More

One of our favorite places to stroll, picnic, paddle, and decompress. Isle La Motte, VT is well kept secret, and well worth exploring.

There is nothing like attending Mass outdoors, with the warm sun on your face. Pleasant Fathers with great homilies. Then take a walk up the hill for breakfast. Great place for kids, beach across the street and kids can run around a park like area while your at Mass. Great area to camp and bring family for a very affordable... More

Although I am biased regarding this place as I live nearby, it is one of the major reasons that I live here. It is located on a small island in Lake Champlain and has some historic sites to visit, being temporarily settled in the 1600's. Walking on the grounds and just viewing the beach and the Lake as a background... More

Beautiful stations of the cross and benches looking out over the water. An outdoor church on the other side of the road. There was a gift shop we didn't visit and a kitchen as well with big butternut squashes stacked up on the counter. Not sure if food was offered to the public or not?

We were advise to take a side trip to the shrine of St. Anne's as we made our way to Montreal. This active shrine and retreat house was a wonderful contrast to the Basilica's we had seen. Lunch on a bench looking across Lake Champlain was spectacular. The out door church and pews allowed us to only imagine how a... More

We attended the Last Mass of the season here last week. We try to get over here at least once a summer. It is a very lovely spot on the lake with commemorates the first Catholic mass said on Lake Champlain. Summertime also has has many church groups here for retreats.

I made the right decision to start my driving tour with the Shrine; really lovely scenery throughout the islands. I arrived just in time for an outdoor Mass. The Shrine is very quiet and has its own piece of shoreline with a picnic area which was a pleasant surprise. The homemade soup at their café was delicious and I met... More

We were attending a funeral service held in the open air church that is part of the shrine. Very peaceful spot to visit that has real depth of Americana history. We noted there were many cyclists and kayakers visiting the shrine, park and gift store.

Lovely lake/mountain views surround this beautiful, outside place of worship. I took some friends on a ride along the lake shore and we decided to stop at St. Anne's Shrine. It is breathtaking and a lovely place for quiet reflection and/or prayer. We stopped to light candles and walked the grounds.
