This is what you want and expect when you go out to have an afternoon tea, and then some! Tea is served to you from a silver tea service, in a beautiful vintage home library. There are tiers of little sandwiches, scones (with jam and clotted cream) and sweets. The hostess is supremely knowledgable on old-fashioned or "classic" etiquette and... More

I was cordially greeted by Suzanne to this lovely house.. The room was clean and cozy with everything we needed. The were numerous books and classical ads. There were cozy little nooks to read or relax. The grounds were manicured and well maintained. We were served a fantastic breakfast before we left. I would stay there again.

Wonderful old Victorian-era house with beautifully appointed, large bedrooms and baths. Very comfortable and accommodating. Delicious breakfasts in the mornings with lots of cozy sitting areas to relax.

I had the pleasure of having Tea at the Governor's Residence for my Birthday. The food was plentiful, several kinds of sandwiches, scones and a Birthday cake. The tea was never ending. The tea was served in the library along with a lesson on pouring and serving a correct pot of tea. Beautiful music played through out the entire tea.... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed afternoon tea. We were warmly received by our gracious host, Suzanne. Everything was delicious. Our selection of sandwiches included curry chicken, egg salad and cucumber. We also had banana date bread, as well as scones, cakes and tarts. Be sure to arrive hungry; it's quite a spread. Their house-blend of ceylon tea is also... More

Take a moment to enjoy a nice little bit of the elegance of yesterday. Let Susan serve you an afternoon tea. After purchase several years ago, she has renovated this gem into a large B and B. The service is great and the accommodations are first class.

My mom and I visit the Governor’s House often for Suzanne’s fantastic tea service. Not only is the tea – the best that I’ve ever had, her scrumptious treats are out of this world. I especially enjoy her theatre tea. We often visit the Lamoille County Players productions directly across the street from the Governor’s House and Suzanne’s theatre tea... More

There is nothing to dislike about this B&B. It was perfection in location, luxury, food, advice and information and price. Hoping to go back soon

Afternoon tea was delicious and historically accurate! There were several selections of finger foods and an informative talk of the intricacies of tea. I thought it was wonderful.
