Took our 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son to Echo last Wednesday. They really enjoyed seeing the fish and other sea creatures. My daughter enjoyed learning about mud season during the read along. Both kids really had a great time in the play area with the water table and slide and other fun activities. Definitely worth a... We loved our visit to ECHO and probably could have spent a couple more hours there! It was perfect for our 18 month old as there were many rooms she could play in and lots of hands on things to explore. Being in the live butterfly exhibit was about as happy as she could be!

Love attending aquariums and this threw in museum as well. Geared for the kids but I enjoyed my time there. The theme of this is the ecosystem of the area. The have plenty of hands on exhibits, including feeding the fish. There also is a small theater where they show documentaries for addition money. I do mean small. When I... More

This is mildly entertaining for very young children. The aquarium exhibts, what there are, are not particularly imaginative or educational. For pre-teens and teens, it's pretty boring. A far better choice for an interactive science museum is the Montshire Museum in Norwich, which is literally entertaining for all ages. Another far more entertaining place, again for all ages, is the... More

This place was very interactive for young kids but we thought it was three full floors of activities and it ended up really only being one and a half. I felt I paid a lot and wasn't there as long as I would have liked to be. Overall, it was cute but I wouldn't return.

This place is designed for children. I would give it 1 star for adults and 3 stars for children. It does its best to engage children, but adults who are visiting without children, will find it boring. Truth be told, it can't be easy to make freshwater fish and turtles intriguing.

Thank you for your review about ECHO, we are always looking for feedback! If you visit again, the Lake Champlain Basin Program resource room is a great spot for older learners, as it offers a more academic look at the work being done locally and regionally. More

This is a small museum/aquarium that is very much built for little kids. There are plenty of displays and activity areas for the kids, but not as many animals as I expected. For the adults, I did wander into the “Lake Champlain Basin Program Resource Room” on the 2nd floor. The lady here explained that she and the room were... More

This is a great place for young children. Toddlers and Preschoolers will have the best time. Besides all the turtles and frogs, fishtanks and a tide pool, young children love the play areas. It's set up as the most awesome preschool! They can play in the science center, little farm stand, kitchen, restaurant, and water table. There is a treehouse... More
