We took the last sailing of the day from Port Kent to Burlington, meaning we had our very own sunset cruise across this beautiful lake. Got to the port about an hour early. No lines, efficient ticket sale, lots of time to kill. Not many...More

We were lucky to pick a beautiful fall day to ferry across the lake. Easy on/off, reasonable rates and a scenic. relaxing ride.

Decided to take the ferry home to lessen my actual driving time. Well worth the $20 or whatever the cost was for my car. Would've been absolutely beautiful if it wasn't the overcast sky and occasional drizzle. If you're staying in Burlington, the ferry would...More

Boarding the ferry in Essex was simple and stress free. There is a restroom there if you arrive early but other than that a very bare bones facility. In Sept the ferry runs every 1/2 hour so our wait was minimal. The cost was roughly...More

Excellent service, didn't have to wait long at all.... despite it being a Friday. The only suggestion I have is to make sure you have sufficient cash to pay - they do not accept credit/debit. There is a ATM on site, but as we all...More

For $10.25 my car and I took the ferry from Vermont to New York. The ride was about 25 minutes and the views of the Adirondack and Green Mountains were awesome. The ride was smooth and the crew was courteous. It was really enjoyable.

No ferry from Burlington to Montreal, there is a scenic ferry from Burlington to Port Kent, NY, then you would get on interstate 87 and drive north about an hour to Montreal.
