If you like biking (or running/walking), you'll love this path, which (mostly) follows an old RR spur. Much of the time it's shaded and woodsy, other times you're in full sun. Includes (in warmer months) a bike ferry to Grande Ile (check with LocoMotion in Burlington for the hours/rates). Even a section on a raised platform, with a long bridge,... More

If you are in the Burlington Area, make your way to the waterfront. You can rent a bike and ride the entire bike path from one end to the other. Although that is a 20 something mile stretch the views are well worth it. Even if you don't want to bike entire path you are still able to walk it.... More

The bike path runs right in front of Lake Champlain. People can bike, walk, jog, eat, rest at many stops to look at gorgeous views

This bike path is tailor-made for tourists, and I'd hardly complain about that. Here you've got miles of trail, mostly paved, and mostly pancake-flat, that cyclists of any level should be able to enjoy. Along the Burlington waterfront, and well into the area beyond North Beach, the trail is paved. At the waterfront, rentals are available, if you didn't bring... More

The path was easy to find. We road our bikes through town and hoped on at one of the entrances. We road from the area near the harbor to the end where people were paddle boarding! We had our Mountain bikes but you could use your road bike on this nice path with great VIEWS! I highly recommend this path.

One of the main attractions of Burlington. The Bike Path stretches for miles and is always a must do when visiting Burlington. It can take you from downtown to north beach and even further. With it ending on the Colchester causeway it can be a great all day bike wide or a quick power exercise. Bike, walk, run, skate, skip,... More

I've ridden this trail maybe 100 times as a former resident decades ago, and now occasional visitor. Sometimes crowded. Sometimes buggy. Weather is often poor (this is VT). But when the weather is right, it is simply wonderful, and sometimes sublime. Ride it at sunset and watch Lake Champlain turn to orange soda with the Adirondacks in the background. Satisfaction... A few minutes walk from your hotels facing the lake. At the entrance of the trail rent a bicycle for your self, spouse and small children too. It has 8 miles of paved path running through many residential neighborhoods and is situated close to several commercial districts.

The Bike path is well maintained and the views were awesome. It passes by the Hilton Downtown and their are a variety of shops, food outlets, restaurants, ice cream parlor etc. Church street is a few blocks away and private parking is available next to the Hilton.
