Full disclosure, I didn't do the entire trail because we found a beautiful spot and loved it and was anyhow short on time. We parked on the street and walked up the road to get to the trail. It was annoying because we wanted to get there faster but it was beautiful and peaceful and quiet. We passed a community garden and some cute houses. The trail was nice and simple enough to follow. We stopped at a lookout point and there was a small beach area with rocks that we climbed up. There were a few people there (5ish in the afternoon early August) who were going swimming. I brought a book but it was too beautiful to look down and read. My only regret is that we had to leave before sunset because my friend needed to get back. There's a thing you're supposed to sign up online before you come in because it's private property.

Rock Point is a beautiful but small natural area in Burling with awesome views of Lake Champlain. The dirt trails are easy to follow though they could be muddy in rain. The highlight is of course the beautiful rock in the lake which can be viewed from Rock Point overlook at about the midpoint of the trail. The loop trail is about two miles, but could be cut short by crossovers. Nice place to enjoy nature. Free entry. Donations accepted.

What a suprise here. A little hike / walk in the woods close to the Lake Champlain. The many views of the Lake were really beautiful. The trail was easy and not so long but very nice. Liked it!

With our online admission passes on our phones my wife and I drove up the road from Burlington HS to the parking lot and got great directions for the walk to the top of Rock Point. There are evidently quite a few trail choices, including down to the beach and Lone Rock, but the trail reaching the top was wide and gradual and offered a wide beautiful view of Lake Champlain. Part of the path to the top included an outdoor chapel I felt was a highlight of our hike. Plus my wife did take a picture of me on a rock taking photos she really liked (smiles). An easy five star for us - highly recommend.

Walk over the grounds of the Episcopal Congregation down to the lake to see a rather odd geological feature: old rock superimposed on younger rock. Google "Lone Rock Point" to learn more about it. Climb the rock for a view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. If it is a warm day and you feel adventurous, jump from the cliff into the lake. Or apply for bishop of the Episcopal Church in order to live in the Bishop's house.
