Set in a beautiful Vermont village, with a picture perfect picket fence and a very historic cemetery behind it. Church has records for graves including many Revolutionary war heroes , Robert Frost and much of my own personal family

Beautiful old church and Robert Frost is buried behind it along with many other older graves dating to the 1700's. I tend to be a nerd when it comes to old cemeteries and visiting not only historic ones but also seeing the old stones and...More

There was no cost, but a donation box, for this beautiful church. Beautiful in its simplicity. The guide, Jane, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Attached is a pretty large cemetery with Robert Frost's grave. The whole visit was about 45 min.

The church is the first in Vermont that is dedicated to the separation of Church and State. Its adjacent cemetery is populated with people who helped create the town of Bennington, fought during the Revolutionary War and the Poet Laureate, Robert Frost and his family.

A picturesque church, but there's really not a good place to park. We were unable to walk around due to extreme cold on the day.

We didn't go in the church, but we visited it to access the graveyard to see the poet, Robert Frost's, grave. It's a beautiful church not too far from the Battle of Bennington monument.

This is a nice place to visit if you wish to see an older style church building. In addition, the cemeteries has graves of noted people, including poet Robert Frost.

We are planning a bus tour to the Bennington Area on September 19th and 20th and would like to include the First Congretional Church in the tour. Are there tour guides available to meet with our group of approx. 50 people to take us through the church and tell us the history of the church? Also, is the place for us to park a tour bus?

I am sorry we did not see this question before your bus tour. We have just found out how popular we are on Tripadvisor! We hope you just stopped past! The church regularly has tours come, in season and out. A group can set... More
